Angry Birds flying out of virtual game to open two flagship stores in Taiwan
Angry Birds, the wildly popular mobile game, has attracted a wide range of fan support that has sent the worth of developers Rovio soaring to more than US $12 billion. Following rumors that the game would be expanded into a movie and that it would soon be a Disneyland attraction, the game maker has announced it is entering the market with its for game-related peripheral products in Taiwan. Rovio says it expects to carve out a market of NT$2 billion within two years.Rovio, is a game developer and marketer founded in Finland in 2003. They launched their “Angry Birds” video game especially for touch screen smartphones in 2009. At the time the swine flu crisis was spreading around the world, and designers came up with the concept of pitting angry birds as the competitors of little pigs.
